Pion Design - Just For Mom

Hello Everyone!

I'm back today with another card for Pion Design. I really never get tired of all of the pretty papers and images! This one is a Mother's Day card going to my MIL. I wanted to squeeze in one more girly card before the masculine collection "Mister Tom's Treasures" get released. So looking forward to that!!

If anyone is looking to purchase the new Pion Design collection, check out Live & Love Crafts. Sandy carries a wide range of the Pion papers as well as lots of pretty flowers, laces, pearls and so much more!

UPDATE:
My card won an award in the following wonderful challenge:

***
Some photos from my walk earlier this week. Lots of grass and buds starting to open up, although the majority of trees are still naked. My Weeping Willow is starting to bloom, love that tree!! Pay special attention my bird shots today, one of them is extra amazing!!

Thanks so much to JanR and Mrs Duck for identifying my mystery plant as Monarda fistulosa, otherwise known as Wild Bergamot or Bee Balm. I look forward to seeing those in bloom!!

I've never seen a Maple Tree blossom before. Isn't it amazing that a Maple Leaf is born orange and yellow, and dies orange and yellow, but spends it's life bright green!! Nature is a funny thing!

My plan was to take a shot of this lone Dandelion growing out of the middle of this rock, then suddenly this little gal jumps up on the rock and strikes a pose...two for the price of one!

I just love this shot of an American Robin sitting on the branch just above me. I am entering this photo into Our Beautiful World this week, where the prompt is "From A Low Angle". There are some other shots today that fit the bill as well, but this is my fav.

***special photograph***

After I took this next shot, I couldn't find this bird in the listings anywhere. Turns out, there's a reason for that. It's so rare that there's barely any authentic photos online of it. Believe it or not, it's a Leucistic American Robin...it's an albino!!! WHAT!!!!! How lucky am I to catch a sighting of such an amazing bird!

My token morning coffee shot...

That's it for today. Thank you for stopping in and for all the amazing comments. If you have any questions or interesting tidbits about today's wildlife, please let me know.

  14. Normally I comment on your card first but I just gotta say this to start....why oh why is it that you, being in a city (yes I know you've got the lake and lovely park and all that) gets to see such diverse birds, including a totally wonderful rare one, while I, out in the country, and feeding the birds, gets to see common grackle, common grackle, common grackle, crows, common grackle, common grackle, sparrows, common grackle, blue jays, common grackle, common grackle, common grackle, mourning doves, and my friendly woodpeckers only. Not fair, I cry, not fair!! :-)

Beautiful card. I'm loving all the purple. Your mil is going to adore this.

P.S. Loving that squirrel photobomb too!

  31. A superb card Pamellia, you could use any papers and bring them together in a gorgeous design. I have been trying to count the number of layers you used and lost count, but it doesn't really matter as they all fit and overlay perfectly creating an incredible stacked design which you have embellished beautifully.

All the photos are wonderful to look at but your robin from a low angle really caught my eye and then to capture that very special albino robin is incredible well done. Xxx

  43. Oh my gracious - there must be at least a dozen layers on this GORGEOUS card. Yes - I counted the pearls too!!!! I can just see it sitting at your MIL's in a place of honor - she will ADORE IT, as do I. The colors are just BEAUTIFUL and it's sooo dainty. That little yellow butterfly looks like it could just fly away any minute - so STUNNINGLY REAL. Lace, pearl, scallops, ribbons, glitz, glitter and dainty blooms - SPLENDID in every way.

Wow - I just said a prayer that someone will buy your rare picture Pamellia and pay you a bunch of money!!! Donno if that's even possible - but it should be. How neat is that? Big Wow.

And I totally laughed at your "From A Low Angle" bird - ehehehehe - YEP I'd say so - eheheheheh!!!! Love the dandelion photo too. Is that really a "gal" in the picture?

We planted bee balm in our garden. We just became bee keepers so it was a must have! Ours is not blooming yet so we can watch it bloom together!!! Xj.
